Industrial Visit

HIMT provides a platform to learn industrial practices by in person visit to various pharmaceutical industries all over India and abroad. A glimpse of these visits is-

Students of HIMT College of pharmacy had visited to the industrial tour to Himachal on 8 october 2014 to 12 october 2014. Students had learnt a lot under the guidance of Mr. Balwan singhand Ms.shwetaarya, visiting a company gives a practical exposure to current work practices to strengthen theoretical knowledge being taught at college.

Adventurous Tours

To impart cohesion among students, to inculcate leadership quality and improve sustainability in changing global environment.By this students get an opportunity to improve their fitness and try some outdoor pursuits. About the lecture:

The panellist covered fundamentals of adverse drug reactions (ADRs), how to report ADRs, national and international scenario of safety reporting, clinical implications of reported ADRs and pharmacovigilance.
We received a great feedback and appreciation from audience on achievements of Deptt of Pharmacy Practice in area of Pharmacovigilance.
More than 240 B. Pharm. students, faculty members from various colleges, attended this Lecture of Dr. Jitendra Badjatya.

About the lecture

Prof Dureja spoke about points regarding the structuring and the working Process Validation and its Importance in Pharma industry
Spoke about the intricacies of the industry in terms of the everyday work by explaining the various stages of a Validation from the conception stage to the end where in each step and the work required to be executed.
Mr. Durejais a renowned academician and serving the pharmaceutical teaching since last decade. He has more than 90 international publications into his credit.

Orientation Day

Student orientationprogramme welcomefresher students at the beginning of each academic year to provide them cozyenvironment which make them vivid in every aspects of life.

HIMT college of pharmacy celebrated its orientation day on 22nd august 2014 in the presence of our dignataries from board members, worthy Chairman, Respected Dean, Principal Pharmacy and all the eminent faculty members.

The students were briefedabout the college,its academics and other activities. Ist yr class co-ordinator Mr.TarunVirmanialong with Ms Sonu Sharma gave presentation on scope of pharmacy and shared the names of members anti – ragging committee to make the more secure in new environment..

Teacher's Day

Since times immemorial, Indians have respected and idolized their teachers. Earlier, we used to call our teachers 'Guru' and now it's the contemporary 'Sir' or 'Madam'. Nevertheless, the role of teachers has remained the same. They were, are and will continue to be our guiding light, creating conditions conducive to our overall development. We will always be thankful to them for their constructive support. It is as an expression of this gratitude only that we celebrate Teacher's Day in India.

It was a day of delight for the himt college of pharmacy teachers to see the talents of their students performing various shows. Students from B.pharm presented songs in praise of teachers, western dance, a drama and mime show. The highlight was the tribal dance presented by b.pharm 1st year. It was eye-catching with colourful costumes. After the programmes, students of class B.PHARM arranged games for teachers like musical chair and treasure hunt. The PHARMA students takes the pride to honourSir.SarvapalliRadhakrishnan.

Health check-up Camp

Health check-up Camp was organised by HIMT College of Pharmacy as an important part of community pharmacy. This intense event was organised to serve the people to get information of their common biological parameter like blood group, blood pressure, haemoglobin, blood sugar etc.

Itwas supplemented by counselling to patients to cope up with the sedentary life style diseases and get rid them by regular monitoring.

Health check-up Camp was focused on improving or extending the efficacy of health care professionals to the public in need.

National Pharmacist day

To Mark the Connotation of National Pharmacist Day on 25th September an Awareness programme regarding prevention of swine flu (H1N1) was being organised by students of pharmacy.

The Rally was organized right from HCP campus to PariChowk Greater Noida.

HThe localites were enlightened by banners and charts carried by the students. Free Face masksto protect against swine fluwere distributed on the way.

Report:HIMT College of Pharmacy organized a research laboratory visit for the students of B.Pharm Final Year on 06th May 2017 at Hamdard University. Research laboratory/Industrial visits are the part of curriculum of AKTU University (Lucknow). The students visited different departments and sections of research lab like UGC sponsored pharmaceutical biotechnology research lab, AYUSH sponsored natural bioactive molecule lab, Pharmacognosy research lab etc. The students watched the working of different instrument like HPLC, HPTLC, Flash chromatography, GC-MS, farmenters, PCR, incubator, rotary evaporator etc. All the instruments were sanctioned by different government body like UGC, DBT, DST, ICMR, AYUSH etc. The various large-scale equipment and its applications were also keenly observed by our students. This made our students to correlate their theory with practical application in research field. The officials at Hamdard University were also impressed with curiosity of our students to learn the subject. The students were escorted by faculty Rafiul Haque who guided and explained them about research at various stages of visit to research lab. The students were very happy and felt enriched after visiting research laborites.

HIMT College of Pharmacy celebrated its orientation day (Session 2017-18) on 16th august 2017 in the presence of our dignitaries from board members, worthy Chairman, Respected Dean, Principal Pharmacy and all the eminent faculty members.

Registration process started in the morning and student kit was distributed to every student. The programme was started with Lamp lightening and worship of Goddess Saraswati. Ms Mamta Seliya initiated and anchored the proceedings of the whole event by felicitating the esteemed guests and introducing the faculty members. The Chairman, Director General and Dean of HIMT also shared their valuable thoughts with the students and encouraged them about their bright future of Pharmacy profession. Prof. Dr. D C P Singh gave presentation on scope of Pharmacy, University Rules and Regulations regarding attendance, evaluation procedure and also shared the names of class coordinators, members of all newly constituted committees like anti – ragging committee etc to make students feel more secure in new environment. The event of ORIENTATION PROGRAMME was well coordinated by Mr. Balwan Singh. The students were encouraged to ask questions on the course and the entire query handled on the spot. The programmed ended with the vote of thanks by Mr. Balwan Singh followed by breakfast.
