HIMT College of Pharmacy offers four year of under-graduate (B. Pharm) and two year masters program (M. Pharm) in (Pharmaceutics & Pharmacology) along with two year diploma in Pharmacy. The College is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and U P Board of technical Education (BTE) and is affiliated to Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow. A person who has completed D. Pharm can be employed as a Registered Pharmacist in a community pharmacy (Medical Store/Chemists & Druggists) or a hospital pharmacy. It is the minimum qualification to practice pharmacy; therefore, it is mandatory that all dispensing of prescription medicines has to be done under the supervision of a pharmacist only. He/She can also work as a medical representative & also work in an industry.
The Candidate should be Passed in 10+2 examination in Science with Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects: Mathematics or Biology (Botany and Zoology) from a recognised institution in U.P State or outside U.P. State
Duration of the course is 2 years with each academic year spread over not less than 180 working days. A candidate needs to complete a training of minimum 500 hrs. Spread over a period of 3 months after completion of second year of the course..
For admission to D. Pharm the eligible candidate will register himself/herself through either online mode at website portal or manually after coming to the college. After investigating the application, candidate seeking admission will be called for the interview. He/she will produce necessary documents including Aadhar card, provisional or original certificates of qualification required for the admission. With approval of the competent authority, candidate will pay the admission fees as per the college norms.
